Regent of Sidoarjo corruption?!

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) named Saiful Ilah as a suspected suspect in the procurement of goods and services on Wednesday night, January 8, 2020.

For almost 20 years Saiful has led Sidoarjo. The first ten years, he lived as Deputy Regent of Sidoarjo accompanying Win Hendarsono.



In 2010, Saiful who is also a PBK politician nominated himself as a regent candidate along with Hadi Sutjipto as a deputy regent candidate, and won.

"The Corruption Eradication Commission has concluded that there was a suspicion of Corruption in accepting gifts or related to infrastructure projects in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java," Alexander said during a press conference at the KPK Building, South Jakarta, Wednesday night, January 8, 2020.

Alexander said that four people suspected of receiving bribes consisted of Saiful Ilah; Head of Sidoarjo Regency's Public Works, Bina Marga and Water Resources Office, Sunarti Setyaningsih; Commitment Officer of Sidoarjo Regency's Public Works, Bina Marga and Water Resources Office, Judi Tetrahastoto; and Head of Procurement Services Unit, Sanadjihitu Sangadji.
While the two bribes came from the private sector named Ibn Ghopur and Totok Sumedi.

The bribery suspects in this case are suspected of violating Article 12 Paragraph (1) letter a or b or Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st Criminal Code.

Meanwhile, bribery suspects are suspected of violating Article 5 Paragraph 1 letter a or b or Article 13 of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code.
